is a very easy to use, low cost CAD program for home, work, or school, that runs in your internet browser, and is therefore portable to any computer or operating system that contains a web browser. This drawing tool can be used for technical drawings or sketches, graphs and charts, presentations, diagrams, electronics schematics, floor plans, calendars, and many other graphical illustrations, which can be included in Word, Power Point, and Excel documents, Web pages, and any other program that allows importing graphics. CADApplet is also less expensive than AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Visio, or SmartDraw, and is much less complicated to use. And you can customize your copy of CADApplet yourself to use your own fonts and icons.

System requirements are an internet browser and Sun's Java 2 Runtime Environment. The version currently used by CADapplet is JRE 1.6.0_05. If you already have a Java Runtime installed on your computer, you can check the version by looking through the Control Panel or the Program Files directory. If you need to update or install the Java Runtime I have included the installation file with your purchased copy of CADApplet; but, if you prefer, you can download it from the above link. Both CADApplet and the Java Runtime are simple to install.

There are two stock versions of CADApplet. One is for use on a web server and the other is for use on a home computer. Here is a small demonstration of the web version of CADApplet. The File Menu features and most of the Edit Menu and Options Menu selections are accessible in this demo. The basic Java graphics primitives are available, but only the polygons from the Shapes Menu are accessible. All of the Text operations and all of the icons in the Icons Menu are available. That should be enough to thoroughly test this program.
